Teen Counseling
Stephanie Legendre, LPC-S, RPT
Sometimes teens can be resistant to counseling. They may say to parents, “you can make me go but you cannot make me talk.” In therapy building a relationship by allowing the teen to have reasonable control in the counseling session can help decrease power struggles. There are many interactive games that can be incorporated so that the teen does not have to feel pressured to talk in the first couple of sessions.
Stephanie addresses the following Teen Counseling issues:
- Substance Abuse
- Self-Esteem
- Parent/Child Communication
- Anger management
- Behavioral Issues
- Mood Issues
- Grief/Loss
- Changes/Stress
- Relationships
Let’s work together to create a better future filled with HOPE!
